PLAYAS DE ROSARITO.- Para poder combatir la trata de personas y atender a las víctimas en el municipio se conformó un frente común entre autoridades, organizaciones civiles, y residentes extranjeros, dado que se han dado casos de explotación infantil en la ciudad.
En reunión encabezada por la Asociación Civil Red Binacional de Corazones presida por Alma Tucker, la esposa del cónsul de Estados Unidos en Tijuana, Cyrille Erickson, así como autoridades de Immujer, se conformó dicho frente con el claro objetivo de unir esfuerzos y colaborar para prevenir, erradicar y sancionar el delito de trata de personas, así como promover la atención a víctimas en los diferentes municipios del Estado.
Durante el encuentro, los residentes extranjeros que conforman la agrupación “Amigos de FRAO” respaldaron la labor de las autoridades y el interés que la administración municipal puso recientemente en el combate de esta difícil problemática, ésto luego de que instalara en el mes de mayo pasado el primer Subcomité Municipal Contra la Trata de Personas.
PLAYAS DE ROSARITO. – To combat human trafficking and address the victims in Rosarito, a common front was formed between authorities, civil organizations and foreign residents, as there have been cases of child exploitation in the city.
The meeting, headed by the Bi-national Network of Hearts civil association, presided over by Alma Tucker, the wife to the US Consul General in Tijuana, Cyrille Erickson, as well as authorities from Immujer, makes up this united front with the clear objective of joining forces and collaborating to prevent, eradicate and punish the crime of human trafficking. It will also promote attention to victims in the different state municipalities.
During the meeting, foreign residents who make up the “Amigos de Frao” supported the efforts of the authorities and the interest which the municipal administration has recently made in combating the difficult problem. This was after installing last May the first Municipal Subcommittee Against Human Trafficking.
